Crackle Vase

Hi
   when out to day i bought a box with different glass in, only cost £6.00 so cant grumble, amongst this glass were several vase's one being this little Crackle Vase, it is light purple, or Amethyst in colour, standing 5.25ins high i think it what you call hour glass shape, Blenko,? not sure, could some one tell me if i am right please,

    Have been informed that this is amethyst colour and not purple, as for whom made it and the yr still in the dark about it, so all idea's welcome,
