decanter engraved with knight on horse and signed "Kain"?
« on: March 09, 2008, 07:54:48 PM »
This decanter doesn't look all that old, but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it.  It has rather a peculiar bottom - very thick, with a conical divot leading to a bubble.  The engraving is moderately well-executed.  Rim is ground and polished, and I'm assuming it's European.  Thanks for any comments!

I recognise the decanter as Krosno, and the style of engraving looks Polish rather than Swedish. But I have no idea who did it - it would probably be an independent engraver working on factory blanks.
