Chamart opalescent perfume
« on: May 01, 2008, 04:45:59 PM »
I searched to find out something about this little, 3 1/2", perfume bottle marked Chamart, France.  All I found was porcelain boxes.  Was this an import by someone else?
Thank you for looking!

Chamart are a US importer based in New York. http://www.chamartlimoges.com/history.html They do not seem to be offering glas at present. Try contacting them for details on this one.

I got a reply already!
"This was part of a collection of Perfume Bottles made in the Normandy region of  France .  We distributed them in the US in the 60’s 70’s and early 80’s.  This bottle is now made exclusively for Annik Goutal in Paris."

Janice, ones very similar to this were also made for and given away as incentives by the Yves Rocher  cosmetics company in the 1980s & early 1990s - I had several frosted ones in pink but they had white as well, and I know Pamela has some listed in her museum site. I wonder if Chamart made those too?
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

That WAS fast Janice :o
Chamart didn't make them Anne. Have to wait for Ivo's return for the Normandy possibilities.
