To Id glass plate! - Is this Davidson?
« on: June 05, 2008, 09:50:50 PM »
Could anyone ID this unusual glass plate/platter/skillet?  The plate is very much like the Davidson colour when stood next to such: it stands on three prunt like type feet: is segmanted with a plain segment then a lattice design segment plus, a small star shape.  The plate is 18 cm across and shows one air bubble.  Weight 375 grams - thanks.

I think it is Davidson, pattern no 535, see here scroll down. This shows a bowl so it may not be the same pattern number, unfortunately this design doesn't seem very well documented, although it's a common pattern

I haven't seen any with the crosshatch and star effect between the panels, nor with that style of foot. I think there may have been other manufacturers doing similar patterns?

Thank you so much for that information: you are right, the pattern / design is identical to the one sat here on my desk.  I am well chuffed  :)

We need one of the Stewarts to confirm the pattern number though. The only one shown in their book is the cloud one and just the two pictures on the website
