Just found this, (charity shop )
More uranium than in the whole of Iraq!
Pulegoso, bubbly glass, nice quality, glasses rim nicely polished

Any ideas,
Im leaning towards Italy, i have seen similar in Leslie Pinas, circa 50s glass, by Venini and others,
could equally be , uh, anywhere in the world ?

I'd sooner call that Opaline than Pulegoso (which is much more like an aerobar than a blancmange) and in that colour I'd suspect Nason had something to do with it.

It is like an Aero, or rather like a Wispa, which has much finer bubbles than an Aero. Definitely bubbly and not blancmangey

Hi Christine,
i looked out for you at the fair yesterday, but so many people and so much glass
did you see this set, i think it was stand 36 or 64. I did ask permission for the photo,
The lady on the stand, im sorry i cant remember her name, was not 100% of Stevens and Williams,
she said her husband had shown it to one of the Barovier family, who thought it was not
Italian, and probably English. i didnt get a chance to speak to the ladies husband!

Do you , ( or anyone else ) think it may be possible?
One difference, the ones at the fair had polished pontils!

I never got to the fair, the M6 was shut. Set off and then came home again because the detour they sent you on was M62, M1, miles and miles further.

Mine have blow moulded bases, so more likely Italian than with pontil marks

I don't think the blancmange example was helpful but I have to agree with Ivo. It's definitely not bubbly enough for pulegoso.
I  find the sand indented pontil area interesting and curious. I have noted this particularly on ruby beakers which were thought to have been nearer the Victorian era than 30's. Maybe this lack of finish was revived in the 30s as a cost saving measure.
I'm afraid I would not be swayed by the denial of a Barovier, whose interest and focus would lie in a very much higher stratosphere of Murano production. So I would again agree that these are quite possibly Italian.
My own piece of this colour is extremely bubbly, uv reactive and has a proper polished pontil and has been id'd as Walsh altho S&W is also a possibility. It is probably still shown here in a thread dating back to about 92 I think.
I do have another of this colour which has been identified as Italian and by one dealer as 1920's Martinuzzi. However I have doubts about that as the only Martinuzzi I can find to compare are very refined and this is pretty rough. It's is more bubbly but more similar to yours in various respects than to my Stourbridge piece. I shall photo and post.
