Any ideas?
« on: July 17, 2008, 12:30:21 PM »
Hi,

Can anyone identify this?   I bought it in the Isle of Wight last year for a couple of pounds.

Not sure if it is a lampshade.

Has me baffled

I think we've had one of these on the GMB before, but I can't think of a way to search for it!     It must have been 2 years or more ago...

This was the original thread - but the auction it links to has long-since vanished:

http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,18125.0.html

The seller had been touting it as an ultra-rare totally one-off Holmegaard piece.... that they'd already sold several examples of in the past.  ::)

No at all!  Parts of Majorca - especially higher up - are beautiful and some of the hotels there very exclusive... (as Basil Fawlty would put it 'no riff raff')
