hi...this large jug bought in ireland has a big polished pontil............

and a light green hue...........

 it is 15cms tall with a 13cms base diameter...is it likely to be antique?

I don't think anyone can say anything sensible about the colour without handling the piece themselves. But it is certainly after 1860, as the handle is applied bottom first.
