Heavy dark blue pressed glass vase - ID = Ząbkowice

<< < (3/4) > >>

Chris Harrison:
The colour of my vase reminds me of the colour of a vase that was in Graham Cooley's Czech exhibition a few weeks ago, and has already been discussed in

Best guess is that that vase isn't actually Czech.  If only we could identify it, we could perhaps make a better guess at this one.

I've just taken another look at the amber vase that kicked off the thread I referenced.  The base is shallow, and very similar to the vases in this thread.

Anne:
Thanks Chris, that's really useful to see. So once we see Pip's that will be four colours: 3 greens and my blue one. Anyone else have these as well please?

smokerstill:
Hoffman did a lot of Malachite glass stuff with similar geometric base configurations in the 1930's if its any help:-)

Pip:
Ok here's my green one...

Anne:
Ooohhh it is *very* green isn't it Pip. Thanks for the pic, that's super. :)

Alice, I'm not sure it is at the moment, but thanks for the thought. :)  I'd not considered the base shape as an identifier but it could well be. We've seen cog shaped bases from France as well but mainly in those peachy pink liqueur and fruit sets. This is one that's really bugging me now - I want to know where these came from. :)
