Hi there, I have recently discovered The Glass Message Board , what a great site!
This is my first post, my question is this: I have collected Scandinavian glass from the 50s and 60s for around 25 years. Over this time I have accumulated several good examples that have been affected by water damage to the interior.
I have frequently seen references to, and been told that there are ways of treating this condition; these generally involve abrasive polishing, or treatment with acids of one type or another.
I have never met anyone who has knows people capable of actually carrying out these procedures, or indeed anyone who has an example of this type of glass that have been successfully restored.
Can anyone recommend anyone who can carry out this form of restoration, or give examples of pieces they have had successfully had treated?
Best Regards, Chris M.
