Whitefriars vase 9606 - twilight or midnight blue?
« on: September 30, 2008, 10:37:32 PM »
I believe this vase to be Whitefriars, pattern 9606 1964 catalogue.  Can anyone confirm this please, does it look about right?  I haven't seen another one anywhere, even on the Whitefriars websites.

I am not sure if the colour is twilight or midnight blue, or maybe something else?

So it would be a 9607 then. The 9606 was 7½" tall.  The only colours I can find in the catalogues for the 9607 were Ruby and Pewter.

I think you might be well-advised to check this with the Is It Whitefriars website.

Hi Anne and Leni

Thanks for your help  :hiclp:

That looks like the one Leni, that is great. Do you know what year that catalogue is from?  Is it 1964 (looking at the cat-64 in the link :))?

Are these quite rare, do you know?  I haven't seen another one for sale anywhere.  It is a shame with Whitefriars that rare doesn't translate into valuable in my experience, people seem to spend more on the recognisable ones.

Leni, thanks for that link. I couldn't find it in the 1964 catalogue on .com - never thought to check .org!
