I do feel that your vase is quite modern, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have value. It's a great colour and I really like the abstract splash of colour across its base. Reminds me of pieces from the 70's! Retro baby!
When you find a piece of glass, if you're looking for vintage pieces, try looking for wear to the base (assuming the dealer hasn't been sandpapering it..lol). If you find a piece in a charity shop with wear, then you can * safely assume it's old.

Try looking at the symmetry of the piece. If it's meant to be symmetrical,
is it?
The most important thing I personally ever learned from this message board was to support new glass designers...without them, real art glass could be lost forever.
