Topic: Funky set of fruit/pudding bowls - ID = Masserini Barocco

I found this cute set of six bowls at the weekend - any clues?

hi Chloe!

possibly walther. i´ve seen lots of this or at least very similar designs
on flea markets round here (walther is very close), but that´s of course
just a hint.
a quick search on ebay didn´t lead to acceptable (attributed) results either. 
here´s a candlestick (which indeed is a bit scandi-"inspired") with the
same surface structure as your bowl, which i suspect to be walther, too.
hopefully someone will be able to give more than a guess...

Chloe - with regard to your pressed glass bowls I think they *may* be Italian.  Certainly I've come across very similar items (but without the colour - just clear glass) that have the word 'Italy' on them - virtually impossible to see but there nonetheless.

Glass items with this features for sure are (and were) made in two different plants in marked ITALY.

First Borgonovo plant, near Piacenza that is still at the time specialized in pressed items.
Then the second could be in Altare (Savona), ex Covetro now Bormioli Rocco.

Masserini were at one point the business man who acquired the SAV then renamed in SAVAM (in Altare too) from 1978 to 1992 when the glass factory closed.

Probably even if made in Covetro or Borgonovo the brand was Masserini.
For sure the design was a rip off of a "nordic" style.
