Dartington Studio crackle vase
« on: October 25, 2008, 03:44:16 PM »
Given my current mission to identify the little blue crackle box, I bought this piece this week.  I believe it is Dartington studio and has the blowpipes impressed on the base.
It is nothing like my crackle box in finished article but I can now see the difference and the similarities in technique between this one which is cased (?) and smooth on the surface and the box which isn't.
I have searched the threads and their are only a few references to Dartington studio range.  Does anyone have any more information on designer/glass blower and date at all please?
Also were these pieces quite rare does anyone know?
Thanks in advance for any info, it is much appreciated.
