Opalescent Swirled Vase
« on: November 23, 2008, 04:30:59 PM »
Could someone please help me to identify this piece?  It has a nice opalescence and a distinctive bottom with concentric circles.
Thanks,
Charles.

Hello:

The pattern is called "Beatty Swirl" by collectors. It is attributed to AJ Beatty & Sons of Tiffin, Ohio circa 1889 due to similarities to other opalescent patterns that are documented to this firm. It looks like the celery vase to me.
