For The Love of Glass> Glass Displays.

I'm very interested in how you display your glass. I believe glass is the best material to display, it lets through light and shows of rich vibrant colours and crystal glares.  I built this for the love of glass and would like to share it with you. Please upload your pictures to share with me, no matter how wacky or cool.

Thanks

Glass

 ;D At the GMB page!  It's lovely to have built in lights in an alcove type arrangement.  It really shows the glass off...as long as the lights don't get too hot!   :o

Here's some of mine.  You can just make out the stained glass window, top left.   :)

Hi Max, thats a fantastic display of scandinavian glass. On the bottom right shelf placed on the left you have three hooped type vases, can you tell me the maker and designer please?

As for the lighting, if you are using GU10 spotlights I recommend using the GU10 LED bulbs because they throw out very little heat compared to Halogen.

Thanks!  :)  I think the ones you're referring to are part of the 'Carmen' range by Tamara Aladin.  I've got a couple of bigger ones (one green, one red) on those shelves too, which are actually up the wrong way, as they should really be candleholders due to the depression in the 'base'.  ;)

I, for my museum place had to chose the cheaper version: 5.5 metric tons! of Ikea Billy

great displays of yours!!!  :)

i must admit i simply keep my glass where i find a space, e.g. window sills, shelves ... very messy-natured.
but at least found a place for my drinking glasses: i´ve modified an old reed organ into a cabinet

Hello Dirk, I admire your way of thinking, some drinking glasses can play a beautiful note just as well as an organ.  ;D

A great way to display.
