Is this a real Royo?
« on: February 17, 2009, 05:47:19 AM »
I've looked at others and all the signatures are on the piece and this signature is under the base.  Is this real?

Is it common for the signature to be on the bottom?

Adding to Johnphilip -- Glass decorated by Royo and Cirera of Spain was once thought by many to be decorated by Moser. Gary Baldwin even includes them in his books on Moser artistic glass. The pieces are often still sold as Moser, either because the sellers don't know or because people look for the name Moser. The value of the Royo and Cirera pieces have good value, even without the link to Moser. The value depends on the size and decoration of vases. Your chicken decoration is fairly common. The vase has the profile of one of Royo's smaller vases. How tall is it? If you google Royo Vase, you can get a pretty good idea of the range of prices asked.
