Cut Crystal Vase - Is this an old one?
« on: February 20, 2009, 05:18:24 PM »
I am really out of my depth here, knowing nothing about cut glass. I acquired this vase in a job lot from a local auction house and was struck by the beautiful design which seems more "crowded" and complicated than the usual Edinburgh, Waterford, Stuart pieces I see in the local shops. It has the look of an old piece, or maybe it is just the dust and dirt of the auction. Can anyone shed any light on this beautiful vase and are there readily available reference materials (on or off-line) which can help one identify the maker from the design cut?
Regards
Ronnie

Hi Ronnie, this wasn't produced before 1930 and you'll be very lucky to find out who the maker is. Cheers
