is this murano?

hi there everyone,

i just acquired this vase . was unsure of its maker. it's real thick and heavy. seems good quality too. no scratches or anything !. do you guys reckon could it be chalet? or czech? there is no marks or stickers. i hope its a goody!.... :hiclp: i still will love it even if it's not!-it reminds me of weird aliens..

ps am loving this forum so much, just to look at glass art is fabulous. bring on more photos!!!!

I've always thought this type as Czech,

I agree it is Czech. The base reminds me of some of the sommerso vases I have seen. One of the vases was attributed recently -- I think by Marcus -- but I couldn't find the thread. Maybe we can transfer this to the general glass board.

Christine, you may have more recent info but the website seems to be up to date.
I found the website on 17th May 2008 and it wasn't there the previous year. That's all I know.
