Square dish marked England
« on: March 02, 2009, 07:18:15 PM »
This dish is 3 15/16" square and marked England on the bottom. I'm just wondering if anyone knows who it was made by.  I have two that came in a metal holder.  Thanks for looking!!

The same dish with 2 labels is currently on Ebay "Made by Brama (Davidson), this piece carries 2 paper labels - one shows that the design won the Queen's Award for Industry in 1966, the other is printed as follows:  MR-4-68  MADE IN ENGLAND BRAMA, which I understand shows the manufacturing date as April 1968."

According to 20th Century Glass Website "In 1966, Davidson's was take over by Abrahams, and the Glassworks was renamed Brama Team Glassworks. The factory closed in 1987."
