Sorry I didnt put the size. 6 6/8 inches across and it's about an inch deep. It's a little weighty but not real heavy. Any ideas On it? Thanks for looking. I could be off on the Kosta, but it sure looks Scandinavian
Thanks again
Tim

We've been using the matching desert bowls for years and never managed to ID them. Thoughts range between Finnish, Polish and Italian - but no match found so far...

Thank you so much for the reply. I have been looking around more and I don't think they are the Rocks pattern, its almost but no cigar. Also is it safe to say because there no mark , that would rule out Kosta Boda? Im looking for a friend of mine She would love to get a set of them , makes it much easier if she knew the maker.  And Ivo what do you call the pattern in the glass? Weave? Ice? Basket? Quilt? any thoughts?. Thanks for your time for the reply.

WOW, to the moderator, I’m sorry I just saw I put this in the wrong Category didn’t I?
It should have gone in Scandinavian glass, so sorry.

I think the post is where it should be, nothing here but the title to suggest Scandinavian.

I'd call the pattern ice or ice berg or ice cube. It is apparently mass produced press glass with a pattern, to quite a high standard. The material is clear glass - nothing fancy. It turns out I have a bowl Diameter 17, a low bowl Diameter 11,5 and two smaller ones Diameter 9. I also have a variation on the pattern with clear sides, Diameter 11.

I would suspect the maker is either Zabkowice in Poland or one of the Empoli firms in Italy - I know for a fact that both have done similar pressed items in woodgrain, and there are similarities in the feel.

Thanks , That sounds like the ticket. I wonder if a trip to Ikea here in town might get her the bowls shes looking for. Its right down the road, I might just do that for her.Thank you for the leads and words of wisdom.
Tim
PS the Ikea here used to sell nothing but Europe Made items , but more Made In China stuff are on there shelves. There is one company in China that is making some very nice glass , very nice color and feel to them.

These items are definitely not Ikea.
