HELP please, Murano/Czech/Chalet???
« on: March 23, 2009, 03:19:40 PM »

About 10 inches (25cms) wide and 7 " (18cms) high, flat polished base, is a bright Orange, one pic above is with flash one without, and in daylight the casing is quite clear, turns a little blue in the photograph.  TIA  Emmi

Hmmmm, without the blue tinge, I would say Chalet, but I'm not sure with that blue in there. I'm assuming that there is no signature on the bottom.

Off topic and completely irrelevant, but doesn't it look like Salvador Dali :D

Certainly better looking than Dali.  Even without the blue tinge from the flash, it doesn't look like Chalet. Too symmetrical for this type of piece. (Some of their more unusual glass is quite symmetrical.) And no signature. Czech?

Thanks for your comments so far.  No signature, nothing, and I am leaning towards Czech, but not sure this orange was a colour used by those Czech companies.  So I am still stumped.!!! :'(  Emmi
