I saw a big vase in a charity shop yesterday with roses around the top, a wiggly rim (smaller and more wiggles than this) and long, vertical striations around the base. It had raised moulded marks which read Borgonovo and Italy on the bird-bath base.
I didn't buy it - too dear @ £5.
Found one on ebay

Don't think it's Italian. The mould engraving is too good and I don't know of any Italian uranium 1930s (ish) pressed glass.

I didn't really think the two were anything like each other, Christine - it was just that the name was not one I'd encountered before, and I thought I'd just shove it in the mix for general consideration......
