Topic: Square textured vase, help please

I am trying to identify this textured vase, it is thickly cased at the base with a ground and mostly polished pontil mark. I guess it would have been mold blown and it has a hot finished rim. The walls of the vase are fairly thin and yet it feels heavy for it's size so may be made with lead crystal. 17 cm tall and 10cm square. The colour is slightly more purple than shown in the photos.

I think I have seen one of these before and it may have been taller than this one, I have had one suggestion of Wedgwood as the maker.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

It looks very much like one of those sold new by British Heart Foundation a few years ago. There were several sizes as I recall. A search for BHF on the board should bring more examples and info for you.

This is most definitely a vase from the British Heart Foundation charity shops.  New stock about 3 years ago and often on ebay described as Whitefriars.

Thank you both very much, not what I wanted to hear but I have had such fantastic luck recently I guess I was due something ordinary.

It is not badly made though, I think my Gran might be about to get a new vase with some flowers in it.

These vases appeared to me to be quite good quality, and I assumed they may have originated in Poland.  May your Gran enjoy the prezzie!
