Barolac lidded box
« on: May 03, 2009, 07:33:15 PM »
hello!

found this beautiful Barolac lidded box on a flea market yesterday.
since I couldn't find any picture of it on the www I consider it to be rare
and therefore hope you'll enjoy having a look at it.
it's shown in Marcus' Barolac pages as Dáza, pattern #11447
here
it's 10.5cm wide and 12cm high (7.5cm without lid)
base rim and lid are ground and highly polished.
you can find additional pictures in one of my albums
here
just two questions left:
(one to Glen perhaps) is it a Douglas Jenkins design?
(rather a hope than a question) it's  none of the objects that were reproduced post WWII?

regards,
dirk
