« on: May 10, 2009, 06:27:44 PM »
HI.  NEW TO THE FORUM.  CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THIS IS.  IT HAS MADE IN FRANCE, WITH THE LETTER L IMPRESSED ON THE BASE. IT HAS THE SAME TRAITS AS SABINO GLASS, AND WHEN YOU MOVE IT IN THE LIGHT IT GOES MILKY OPALESCENT.  ITS NOT AS TRANSPARENT AS LALIQUE OR AS OPALESCENT???  MANY THANKS.  :)

Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding moves his soul.

sounds like a typical mould mark - from Duralex or Arques. The material is milk glass and the item is très recent.
