This bowl is far from my usual interest, but it caught by attention and wallet (or perhaps I should say change pocket, as it was very cheap), even although part of me thinks it might be a refugee from T.J. Mexx, or whatever it's called.
It's very heavy, 4 1/2 lbs, almost 11" across, and 3" high. On the exterior of the bowl, the nautilus shells are in deep relief, almost 1" deep. The inside of the bowl is smoother, although each shell is indented. A quick google found a similar one on eBay, 200344466004, with a frosted exterior, but the US seller didn't know where it was made. The attraction for me is how it diffracts the light. It looks very nice in the sunlight.
Can anyone shed any more light for me? Thanks.
