Lurid Yellow Cup, Saucer and Spoon
« on: June 02, 2009, 09:49:33 PM »
Five of these appeared in a box of miscellaneous glass that I had to have from my usual auction.  If anyone can shed some light on their origin, date etc. I'd be very grateful.  They have a 50s feel to me but don't have any wear marks, so I presume they are not that old (or valuable at all), maybe  modern chinese?  I'm just curious since they are such an astonishing colour.  To give an idea of scale the saucer is 5" in diameter.  Rims/edges are flat matt.
Thanks.
Iain
