Absolutely not Crown Crystal - it's an American design, reproduced in the 1970s - give me a while and I'll find it for you, if no-one can immediately name it.

Hello again. I'm so excited. I've actually found the maker of my pitcher. It's Imperial. The pattern name is Four Seventy Four. It's on Page 111 Pressed Glass 1860 to 1930 Third Edition by Bill Edwards and Mike Carwile. This is a brilliant book! Now I'm trying to find out when it was made which is a much easier task! Just wondering, do you know how many colours are used in CC Glass pls and what is the rarest colours amongst the all? I read an article on the internet about CC, the author mentioned that blue is a rare colour, but not the rarest, so be interesting to know

BTW, are you the owner of the ozcrowncrystal's website??

Hi there Brenton, I was so excited to find the information myself when I was on the quest. I'm a hunter just like you. It's a huge learning curve in the field of glass, that's why I joined the glass board. If you ask your questions directly to the oracles who live behind the scenes here I bet they will know the answers. I still have clunky training wheels on.  I'm not the author of the ozcrowncrystal, though I'm very proud to say I took the photo of the harbour bridge plate. I'd love to know who is the author too. It's lovely someone has made a site for our glass. There are some great books about by Ken Arnold that will help you. Cheers Dianne.

ahhh I see. I'm so glad Cathy is doing so much research and putting this site together. It's wonderful I hope it keeps on growing so there's a record of all the fantastic things Crown Crystal made. We should be very proud of our own glass. This glass board is fantastic too. I still can't work it properly but I'm getting there. Cheers Dianne.
