Need help ID vase
« on: July 06, 2009, 03:37:16 AM »
I purchased a lot of glass at an auction, all items were supposed to be from a "Belgium" container.  Most pieces are unmarked and I am not sure if they were just slipped in as fillers and need help identifying them.  Here is the first piece.....

Thnx in advance for your help!
Kathy

This one is Chinese and not more than 20 years old.

As Ivo says, Chinese. However, it could be a little older than 20 years, these vases were certainly produced for export since the early seventies -  Chinese domestic customers probably had to wait until the early eighties to get their hands on them though. Angela has an interesting article in the Glass Museum about these vases here: http://www.theglassmuseum.com/Chinese.html

Thnx for your input ... I just saw a "Victorian" vase on Ebay for $25 that matches this exactly, lol.
