No-one likes general adverts, and ours hadn't been updated for ages, so we're having a clear-out and a change round to make the new ones useful to you. These new adverts bring in a small amount to help pay for the board and keep it free for you to use, so please do use them whenever you can, Let our links help you find great books on glass or a new piece for your collection. Whenever one starts posting in a new forum, it takes a while to get to know people and adjust to members' styles of communicating, and little idiosyncracies.  Likewise, it takes the people in the forum a while to get to know a new member.  It can be a rough transition, but worthwhile in the long run.

It's also very easy to misinterpret and to be misinterpreted, and it pays to develop a thick skin!

P.W. Modern's posts didn't strike me as rude so much as defensive.  I think she has the right idea about confining discussion to the glass.

Speaking of which...I'm probably imagining things, but it seems like the transition between the dark outer layer and the violet color is quite sudden, and it makes me wonder if it is actually double cased.  Could you please post a close-up of edge of a window, just to humor me?

If you post on a public message board you have to expect responses from ANY and all of the membership.  I will respond to your posts if I feel like it and what I choose to say is up to me (as long as it falls within the board rules and guidelines).  You are not entitled to tell me who I can respond to and what I should be talking about.  Glad that's sorted out!

Looking forward to seeing more of your glass.

It seems you just want to argue with me and that was exactly what I was talking about.  I never said that you could not respond to my posts. And I told you that I am not going to get caught up in a tit for tat with you. So please can we move on?

Not at all but I do have issue with you continually saying 'let's move on'.  You do what you wish - I'm not stopping you but please refrain from telling me what I should be doing.  Thank you  :)

There is only one person around here from reading the complete thread spoiling for an argument and that is you.
If you don't like the responses you are getting from some of the worlds acknowledged experts on glass then the best thing to do is find another forum that will give you the answers you are looking for.

Move on.

Glad thats sorted out.

Mike - were you referring to the original poster or to me?  If it's me then my sincere apologies if I've irritated you :-[

Boyz and Girlz pleeeeze. Don't let one silly girl spoil the fun. She must be wetting her knickers for having caused this contrived misunderstanding. We will all refrain from ID'ing anything posted by p.w.modern and just continue to focus on glass.
