re blue tit and mark of 'AH'
« on: August 10, 2009, 07:40:32 PM »
Sorry about this, I'm sure this has been on the board in recent weeks, but for the life of me I now can't find it.    The image is of a blue Tit plus a few leaves, and the base is marked (presumable diamond point)  '"AH  BLUE TIT".   Image seems quite deep, so thought sand blasted  -  how do I tell whether it is acid or sand please?
24.5 cms. tall  - about 6.5 cms. at widest,  -  not potil, but slightly concave moulded base.   thanks for any reminders.   Paul S.

CG etching... LINK

Long way to go, but you might find a design or blank match. Though glass does not look particularly CG to me. Could also be a bought in blank by a decorator.

my thanks to all three of you.   -  does this imply that since mine does not have CG that it may well not be Caithness - or, since the etching is identical it may well be.
Perhaps the jury shud remain out until we have some proof.     I'm a bit confused.     Cheers     Paul S.
