Amethyst pressed glass bowl/centre-piece..
« on: August 13, 2009, 07:57:11 PM »
hope its alright to put some pressed glass on here i thought it might be worth checking out as its slightly amethyst in colour, I suppose you will either love it or hate it , I kinda like it... just wondered if anybody may know a maker i know its a long shot? I also wanted to put it on as id been reading an article on here about glass exploding and cutting someones hand, This bowl has a couple of hairlines in the centre of the glass you cant feel a crack on the outside though very unsual this glass condition that seems to be more virilent than i thought has anybody had this happen with pressed glass before? The bowl is 9" in diameter and 6.5" high ive looked through pamelas site   to know avail i thought it might be there what a collection of pressed glass. :hiclp:to the site.

If it's a very faint amethyst, I wonder if it is sun purpled.
