massive neodymium glass dish Gorgeous piece Signed ZANETTI L
« on: August 16, 2009, 12:11:35 PM »
Hi there
i picked this up today and have rushed back to research I think its LICIO ZANETTI ?? Murano, in my impatience and excitment thought i would give your brains a pick whilst i continue. The guy wanted £50 for it but i paid £35 so im fairly happy with it.
Right its 56cms from end to end 21cms across, 17cms high absolutly perfect condition
Is anybody able to give me any more info on this, ive had a quick look on ebay and there doesnt seem to much like my piece, there is 2 neodymium but much smaller animal shapes.
Any ideas on dates looking on the internet most things are dated between 1960/70's. any idea's on values? they range from low tens to over £400 on ebay nothing sold so cant get any idea's from there
many thanks in advance
michelle

Michelle, have you tried our Search facility here and searched for Zanetti?  That would probably give you some leads.   ;) :)

I don't know if I can add much more information than you have already found. Yes, it is a Licio Zanetti bowl. Licio signed his regular glass Zanetti L, while he signed his masterpieces with his full name. Most of his things were made 1960s-80s. The prices realized for his work have been depressed for about a year now in the USA. Many of his things are not selling at all, even at low prices. It is difficult to say what the current value is, given how unstable the market is right now when it comes to hammer prices.

oh they all came at once lol. Max ive searched on here and its only coming up with this thread, so no luck there. Shame about the price decrease but still a bargain at £35 i think as it is beautiful. I noticed that on ebay completed although there is one a handful of pieces alot where not sold, but as i said before there is nothing quite as big as this one there so hard to judge
thanks

Just search for Zanetti, Michelle - using one word rather than the full name often gets better results. :)
