cased ruby dish - also Murano ?
« on: August 18, 2009, 02:39:03 PM »
This is one of two, identical in shape at the top, both flat on the base, this one is cased and stands about 2.5 inches, the other is cobalt blue all over, no crystal casing and deeper, somewhere over 3 inches.

Can anyone confirm if they're Murano please?  An idea of age/value would help greatly too.

many thanks

Tina

What Keith said, but we don't give values on this board. These bowls are quite common though in a wide variety of colours.

Oops! sorry I didn't know that you're not supposed to give valuations on here. I looked in the completed listings on ebay beforehand but couldn't find one like it.

Thanks very much to you both for confirming its origin.

I don't think it's a board rule - it's just down to the individual members whether they wish to discuss values or not :-)  I pass all valuation enquiries I receive via my website straight over to Michael Hogben (an auctioneer who also appears on TV) - he offers a valuation service on eBay for a small sum.

Shall I say giving valuations is not encouraged.
