in the pink again!
« on: August 26, 2009, 08:28:20 PM »
I suspect this may just be one of a million 'vases' - and impossible to attribute.    I rather liked the pink bottom - fading as it climbs.   I am inclined to think it is mould blown  -  and is in fact optically ribbed, even if this is not immediately obvious in the pics.    You can feel the ribs (on the inside of course) by inserting your finger, and running it round.   How is this achieved???    The bottom is simply flat without any sign of a pontil and, unfortunately, unmarked, although shows the sort of wear that I might have associated with a decent bit of age.    19 cms. tall and about 10.5 cms. at the widest.   Grateful for any thoughts, and thanks for looking.   cheers Paul S.
