Rock hard decanter!

Mushroom stopper,star cut base(12 points)never seen a six sided decanter before and the glass feels so hard I can understand why it is sometimes called 'the metal' The stopper dates it to early 19th, is that right?and is it possible to put a manufacturer to it or is that expecting too much?Keith.
