pressed glass cauldron - again!
« on: August 31, 2009, 06:29:44 PM »
using the search I am aware that this topic has been aired earlier this year  -  although believe that the suggestion of the Scottish maker Allen was discounted.   Was just wondering if there had been any progress and if anyone now had a positive maker.  In case it is of interest - particularly the beautiful purple colour against bright sun - I have attached a few pics. This one does have the raised thistle between two leaves.   Am I correct in thinking it is a sugar??  Notice that the base of the bowl has that concetric circles pattern that I have seen previously on a cream jug.   Have also have tried to show the thistle and leaves, but don't think it has worked to well.  Paul S.
