A heavy glass bowl on 3 feet ID please
« on: September 06, 2009, 02:54:05 PM »
Could anyone kindly tell me if this is from recent production and also which company.  It is of a decent size and weight and stands on three clear thick triangular feet.  The pattern speaks for itself in the picture.  Many thanks
Margi

Hello everyone after searching for this bowl with no luck I have come across two makers/places of glass which have the same if not similar feet, they are Lausitzer and Walther.  I may be way off the mark but was there various glass houses that made feet like this or am I clutching at straws.
Thank you.

Margi

PS will try to get a shot of the top tomorrow.

Thank you that is one eliminated I did not think so and was only basing it on the feet.  Thanks for your input.

I was looking on google images for kimanded's bowl and came across Anchor Hocking, could my bowl be?  I appreciate it has not got the star of David but so many other similarities.

... I´ve looked at such a lot of Walther bowls today...  ::)
I wouldn´t rule out them as a possible maker. The rim and the pattern of
your bowl is very close to this positively ID´d one:
