oh, Emmi, I'm all for touchy feely

As we all know, these things come in much bigger sizes, and are then called 'bucket' vases - and are most often attributed, wrongly as you say, to W/Fs. - most probably because of the controlled bubbles and colour (and most obviously of all, because most of the public have heard of W/Fs., but wouldn't automatically think of Webb). The large examples I've seen have smaller bubbles (more like W/Fs. bubbles - just to confuse things). I am definitely a Webb's man (can't afford the W/Fs. prices - 'Tulip' vase at Ardingly the other week, and he wanted £400!!!!). I have a piece of Richardson's in amethyst (1920 ish) - which you might mistake for Webb - so not an easy area to feel sure of attribution, especially if you're missing a back stamp.
