Hi:

Just so you can see why some people have suggested Czech, look at this link. I'm not suggesting that it's the same vase (no bubbles) but it looks close in spirit. Also, I'm not sure that the eBay attribution is right. I'm still looking.

Thanks for your reply!

I agree with you, the vases look like the can come from the same maker as the one you linked to.

Starting to get more and more interested of Czech glass. Is there any good site where you can read about Czech glass?

I don't know of a good site for reading about Czech glass. Dusan at this site http://picasaweb.google.com/exat53?feat=content_notification has a very good collection of photographs of Czech pieces. Then there are two books, Marcus Newhall, Sklo Union, for a very good and comprehensive account WWII Czech pressed glass, and Mark Hill for a general overview of post WW II Czech glass plus a good selection of photographs on glass like this as well as pressed glass. Another book is Helmut Ricke, Czech Glass, which deals predominantly with the pieces of glass I could never afford.

Hope this helps, and I also hope somebody can jump in and suggest some other sites.
