« on: October 03, 2009, 05:41:02 PM »
I wonder if this vase could be a Murano vase and then who have done it?

Grateful for answer,

In the middle of the vase its conrolled bubbles with oval shapes in the glass that can be hard to see on the pictures. So the controlled bubbles goes from round shapes highest up, in the middle oval and then in the bottom they are round again.

Hi:

I saw this vase here and when you you posted it on the other board. It mystified me, and, because of the lack of response, I presume others felt the same. But here are my thoughts, for what they're worth. It looks more Czech than Murano, the colours the protrusions, the bubbles. However, I haven't seen a Czech vase that looks like it.

My suggestion would be to reply to this thread asking a moderator for it to be moved out of the Murano section and into the Glass section. That way, more people would see it, particularly those with some expertise in Czech glass. I wouldn't start a thread in Murano unless I was fairly certain that the piece was Murano. If it turns out to be Murano, it can always be moved back here.

Good luck.

David

Hello kane_u_pain,

Your multi colour sommerso vase looks very nice! First time I see a vase like that so I'm looking forward to get the answers of makerers / maker from both of our vases.
