Is this cracked?

The seller says that this paperweight is in good condition, but I think it is cracked in two - or am I misinterpretting the effect of the facets?

Glad it is not just my eyesight! The weight is a Strathearn, I'm sure. They did facet some like this, but the couple I have seen were also signed and dated ('S 70' etc).

I'm certain that it is cracked - the internal crack is causing reflection of some of the light falling on the paperweight, and causing a shadow across the right-hand side of the picture; there is also distortion of the image of some of the canes.  Had it been a facet or facets distorting the image, we would not see the straight line running across and to the right of the centre.

Shows the importance of annealing.....
