Topic: I thought Bagley 'Bristol' ID = Bagley, #3173 "Evesham"

Hello!

I recently bought and sold a Bagley 'Bristol' Flower Bowl, then saw this and though it was another one, but of course it isn't - this one has handles!

I still presume that it's Bagley because the frog seems identical to the Bristol, but I would really like to know the model name/number if anyone can help please.  I have looked through Pressglas but cannot find one the same (which is always a silly thing to say because someone will now find it!)

Bernard - can you perhaps confirm my thoughts that these frogs all have chips to the bottom rim because a blank was tapped out during manufacture?  I've seen them on all Spinette frogs, Bristols and now this Evesham's frog is just the same.

They get dropped when the flowers are emptied out. The only chips that you may see that arise from manufacture will be slivers missing where a base or top rim has been ground flat or where the holes in a frog have been drilled out. The glass comes out of the mould hot and therefore will not chip. Any chips arise during cold finishing with a grinding wheel or a drill

Thanks Christine - I thought that was the case with frog (drilling) but I wasn't sure, so it's good to have that confirmed.
