Topic: help on where this was made please and? on why it changes colour?

thank you! and WOW  I did a lot of reading last night of the various posts 

I spent the evening looking at various bits of my glass under different light sources and none of them change at all, they all look as they are and are equally appealing.  This piece definitely doesn't work like that(in my eyes).
I worked out that provided it (in its pink form) is put on the right surface and under the right lighting it 'shines'.  So on a black surface it looks good lit by halogen lighting from above.  It only looks good in daylight when stood in front of a red vase of mine where it picks up the colour and comes to life. And of course under the long life when it shows green it looks beautiful.
So having read all that, would I be making the right assumption that there is a compound in the makeup of the glass that causes this effect under different lighting?
Also would this be a Czech piece?  I have searched hundreds of images and only come across two that seem similar in shape and both were Czech pieces.

Yes, there is something in the glass, a rare earth metal probably, that transmits different wavelengths of light differently and therefore it appears a different colour under different light sources. It is nothing to do with what you stand it on.

Still searching for a maker for my bowl and came across this.  I think they are remarkably similar so was of course wondering if mine is Chrbska as well?
