Bristol Blue Ships decanter
« on: November 08, 2009, 03:44:13 PM »
Picked this up yesterday, needed a good clean, its got one chip on the stopper, otherwise perfect,
a Quality 'Bristol' Blue Ships decanter, 9 inches tall, Mushroom stopper, polished pontil mark,
its got some age wear, at first , i thought 50s/60s, but im thinking it may be a lot older?
Any ideas?
Thanks

Thanks Kim and Ed and Christine,
apologies, i was a bit lazy and didnt think of putting this in google! I usually do, they are not
uncommon items, I cant quite find a matching one, but i think mid 20thc is about right, based on
a mid 19th c style.
Many thanks,
Andy

Or perhaps this one http://www.bristol-glass.co.uk/xcart/home.php. Both companies are relatively new, i.e., late 20th C
