Smokey bowl with circus tent lid
« on: November 09, 2009, 09:14:08 PM »
Could this be Scandinavian - possibly Lindshammar  or is it more likely to be Italian?

I thought at first it was just a smokey brown colour, but if its placed in direct sunlight it looks to be amethyst.

Its a great shape, and the foot makes it look a little bit special and a little different to others seen IMHO ;D

I would be looking at Empoli - but I could be off.

There are a couple of vases on the VM Glasshouse site under Empoli that have a similar foot.
