I certainly wouldn't be able to resist it at a bootsale of anywhere else for that matter. It's a fascinating piece to research. Because it's so unfamiliar, and, as you say, you can't see the quality in the pictures, it's difficult to know what to suggest. Does it have an opening down the middle? Which leads me to wonder how it was made. Blown and cut or slumped and polished? The other possibility I would have said is studio glass but I would expect a signature on that, just like it most likely would if it were quality Scandinavian. I'd be looking at Czech first.
