Topic: request for id on orange cased bowl please.

Naively, I first thought this was a piece of Czechoslovakian 'tango' or very similar, but having looked in Ruth Forsythe's book am sure I an way off target.  Not high quality tho, and the base appears as straight from the mould (no pontil whatsoever).  About 18.5 cms. wide and about 8 cms. high, with the sort of wear that might put it anywhere from 1930 - 1960.   The inside is white (about 1.5mm thick, followed by a very thin orange, and finally a very thick clear casing.   Haven't a clue on country of origin either.     If anyone has any ideas, grateful if they are able to share them, and as always thanks for looking.  Paul S.

I would have thought 1970s onwards, although possibly quite contemporary.

It looks quite high quality to me, though - there's no need to put a pontil on items that have ground/polished rims, and there would be no sense in double-casing a bowl if it was to be retailed very cheaply at a discount store.

It's possibly Italian (I had a similarly finished Italian glass lamp some years ago), or it could be continental European - I seem to recall Rosenthal having a similar line within recent years.
