Topic: bowl, with red trailed ribbing and signiature - ID = Phil Atrill

Hi all,
I picked this gorgeous bowl up today the guy had £38 on it but said i could have it for £20 (great discount eh).
Its  made from clear glass with internal red ribbon wich becomes more  of an external trail about one third of the way down, then goes back to clear, there is also internal red "blobs" for want of a better word.. the bowl has been pushed down on one side to create an amzing tactile feeling. The base is smooth flat and well polised.
There is a signiature and i have no idea at all what it is i cant even make one letter out, i thought the first maybe a V but a friend said he thought it was a W??
Really well made and quality piece
does anybody recognise it?? i really love it, jons not so sure

Hi there
The only van de velde im able to find when searching is Henri van de velde, who was thought to work at val st lambert 1898 -1920.
The sig does look like it could be V velde, but im pretty sure this piece has no age to it maybe the last 20 years max i would say, virtually no surface wear at all.
Is there another Velde who im not finding in searches??

Yah finally got an answer to this one  :thup: :thup:
At the glass fair today we saw one in black, i went and spoke to the dealer and he said that the artist was in the next room
So went and had a chat with him (or to be closer to the truth rather made a fool of myself as i got a little starry eyed and girly, i also went bright red and babbled quite a bit  , well he is rather attractive )
