Where can I get replacement lustres.
« on: December 01, 2009, 12:33:36 PM »
Hi,
I purchased this lovely vintage Bohemian Light fitting quite cheaply (£8) last weekend. The 7.5" tall fitting is in perfect condition but would have originally had 18 crystal lustres hanging down from it's base.  I thought my wife would have loved it but I was wrong (again)  ::) so I intend listing it on Ebay once it has been rewired. Any ideas where I might get replacements lustres, cheaply??? Also, I may need to find out how long the lustres would have been when made.
As the lustres need to be fully replaced I don't think the length is a real issue but they would need to be in proportion to the rest of the unit. Any one out there in Glassland seen anything similar please?

Cheers,
Bryn

Bryn,
a few years ago i needed some waterford drops, they were $43 each from waterford, but i found
a London company who sold them , i think they were about £5 each, it was a few years ago,
im not certain, and ive been googling, i think the company may have been Chinacraft,

Try emailing them,
Good luck,

Hi,
Thanks Andy,
I'll check them out. A friend has just told me of a chandelier with long crystal lustres (probably Chinese) selling at a local shop for £20 or so, I'll also check that as well. Will have to make sure the fittings are compatible though.
Cheers,
Bryn
